Minister Of State (Law & Justice) Felicitates Adv. Namrata Mishra


Karya Kares (a Texas-based nonprofit organisation) and B R Memorial Welfare Society (Indian based NGO) recently felicitated select individuals who had made a difference by virtue of their work and made an indelible impact in the society. The chief guest of the event was Hon. Minister of State (Law & Justice) of India, Mr. S P Singh Bagel.

Advocate Namrata Mishra was felicitated by the Hon. Minister for her contributions to the CHHAON Campaign and CAVACH Campaign held under the aegis of the Department of Post, Government of India for the upliftment and protection of Girl Child. Namrata imparted legal awareness to more than 5500+ children and their parents of rural Agra under Chhaon. She also worked with various city-based NGOs, for the Community Action to End Violence Against Children (CAVACH) which has been the 1st mass campaign initiated by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Advocate Namrata Mishra has been actively conducing training of the stakeholders on POCSO law since 2014 by organising POCSO Torchbearer Training Workshops for educators, school leaders, Members of Internal POCSO Committees of various residential and non-residential schools and colleges in India. Since the last 10+ years she has been conducting mass awareness sessions in the government, private, convent and international schools, colleges, civil societies and educational institutes of India. In total, she has been able to empower approximately 9,00,000+ children, educators, parents, support staff and society in general by consistently organising over 558 online and onsite workshops for children.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S P Singh Bagel said, “The kind of work that Advocate Namrata Mishra is doing for Children & Women, I would not be surprised if the Government of India decides to bestow one the prestigious Padma award to her soon.”
